Our senses say we are putting in cold and not removing heat, but the reality is the very very cold refrigerant on the HVAC or the Refrigeration coil is absorbing the what heat their is in the room or space!
Heat is carried away and discharged or as refrigeration tech or instructors would say 'heat is rejected' at the condenser usually located outside.
